It takes people from every background to bring out the best in children

Our work

NCH works with more children and young people than any other UK charity, including those affected by poverty, disability and abuse. We provide an extremely diverse range of projects and services, and we develop them in partnership with local agencies, children and families, so that they meet the needs of local communities. We are the leading UK provider of services for disabled children and their families, family and community centres, and services for young people leaving care.

Where we work

NCH provides services in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We also support work in Southern Africa, the Caribbean and Central America.

Our key areas of work

Our diverse work can be categorised into the following broad categories:

• Adoption
• Disability
• Early years and family support
• Education
• Family placement
• Health and well-being
• Participation and children's rights
• Residential services
• Youth services

We also campaign and lobby for change, influencing policy makers and central and local government to keep children's well-being at the forefront of the government agenda.
