Duration of appointment

You will be appointed as Chair (designate) and join the Board in July 2006. The current Chair will step down in July 2007; this is when you will formally become Chair.

The appointment will be initially for 3 years, with a possibility of (but no right to) renewal for one further term of 3 years.

Time commitment

For the first year of appointment the time commitment will be approximately 1 day per month. Upon becoming Chair it is anticipated that you will commit 2/3 days per month.

Appointment

This appointment is unpaid and not classed as employment and does not create any contract of service or contract for services between NCH and yourself. There is no entitlement for compensation for loss of office through employment law and no pension entitlement is attached to the role.
